Penalty Shootout is a same-screen soccer penalty game
Penalty Shootout is a 1-2 player soccer game where the shooter and goalkeeper make secret choices on one shared browser screen. Pick one of six zones, reveal the kick, and watch saves, goals, posts, crossbars, misses, and perfect corners play out.
How to play
Each round gives both players one kick. The shooter chooses a target zone first, then the goalkeeper chooses a dive zone without seeing the shot. Classic mode plays five regular rounds, then extra rounds and sudden death if the score is still tied.
Playing against PapaBot
PapaBot can play as Player 2. It studies past shots and dives, makes difficulty-based guesses, and never knows the current hidden choice. Easy bots guess loosely, Normal bots use simple history, and Hard bots are sharper but still beatable.
Why fuzzy shots feel better
A penalty should not feel like a perfect spreadsheet. Penalty Shootout uses tunable shot probabilities so a good guess can still be beaten by a perfect corner, and risky shots can hit the post, crossbar, or go wide.
Tips to win
- Do not repeat the same corner every kick.
- Mix safer lower shots with risky upper corners.
- As keeper, remember where your opponent has already shot.
- Use center zones when you think the other player expects a corner.
